Coral Gardeners - raising funds from eCommerce brands with Virtue

Coral Gardeners are running their eCommerce donor programme on Virtue for Partners, our new digital fundraising solution for Charities, NGOs and For Good Organizations, to manage business donors and raise new unrestricted funds.

Coral Gardeners is an environmental non-profit based in Mo'orea, French Polynesia, dedicated to protecting and restoring coral reefs. Since its founding in 2017, the organization has combined cutting-edge science and community engagement to combat the effects of climate change and other environmental threats.

Their flagship initiative focuses on growing and transplanting "super corals"—hardier species with greater resilience to environmental stress—into degraded reef areas. To date, Coral Gardeners has transplanted thousands of coral fragments, educated over 2,800 children, and mobilized 13,700 supporters from 99 countries to join their mission to save the world's coral reefs.

What is Virtue for Partners?

Virtue for Partners, launched in Autumn 2024, helps streamline the corporate fundraising process, providing a simple and compliant way for Charities & NGOs to raise unrestricted funds from businesses and their customers.

By reducing the barriers to corporate fundraising, we're excited to help Coral Gardeners unleash their fundraising potential!

As shown by their partnerships with many retail & eCommerce brands (including Rolex, North Sails & Billabong), Coral Gardeners understand the power of brands to further their cause.

By using Virtue, Coral Gardeners aim to expand their eCommerce fundraising efforts. Virtue's ability to streamline the onboarding, on site experience and administrative work required to work with new partnerships has allowed Coral Gardeners to focus on expansion rather than paperwork.

Considering their partnership history, its no surprise Coral Gardeners have started with Virtue's eCommerce functionality to begin their use of the platform and they have started to raise funds from eCommerce businesses directly.

Additionally, as a Virtue partner, they are automatically added to the featured section of Virtue app, encouraging 1000+ businesses to start supporting straight away.

Colorush is a sustainable fashion brand focused on providing high-quality, stylish clothing while supporting environmental causes. Known for its use of premium materials such as cashmere, the company offers a range of products, including sweaters, cardigans, and accessories.

Colorush integrates sustainability into its ethos and for Blue Friday 2024, donated 5% of every sale to Coral Gardeners via Virtue, emphasizing its commitment to ocean preservation.

Arius

Arius Clothing Company is an Australian brand specialising in ethically made apparel for adults, children, and babies. Their product line includes t-shirts, jumpers, and hats crafted from organic cotton and recycled materials, with printing processes conducted in Australia. The company emphasizes sustainable business practices and donates 10% of its profits to environmental initiatives.

For 2025, Arius will be donating $1 from every item (not just sale, item), to Coral Gardeners via Virtue.

Seeav

Seaav is a sustainable activewear brand dedicated to producing eco-friendly apparel that benefits both consumers and the environment. Each Seaav garment is crafted from at least 80% upcycled plastic, primarily sourced from recycled plastic bottles, effectively diverting plastic waste from oceans and landfills. The company emphasizes ethical manufacturing practices and utilizes eco-friendly packaging materials.

Currently, they are donating 1% of all sales to Coral Gardeners via Virtue
